Senior Graphic Designer Lubbock 26841BR Promo and Fan Engagement
Position Description Plans, designs, develops, and produces visual media. Prepares high resolution images for pre-press and web use.
Comply with all NCAA, Big 12 and Texas Tech University rules, regulations and policies.
Designs, illustrates and prepares a variety of brochures, posters, schedule cards, newspaper advertisements, billboards, social media designs, email designs, other promotional materials as well as departmental publications and printed materials (will be athletics-focused)
Develops ideas, suggests new or modifies existing ideas; demonstrated graphic techniques and advises other departmental personnel on techniques and methods to use.
Should be flexible enough to take direction and have initiative to run with ideas to impress the audience.
Coordinates production; proofs typesetting and printing for adherence to specifications; determines if quality standards have been met.
May use a variety of desktop publishing, graphic design, web development and management and animation tools.
Design and prepare email and social graphics highlighting ticket sales and marketing information
Create and design promotional collateral such as: t-shirt and logo design
Create print media needs for all programs
Other duties as assigned by Assistant Athletic Director of Promotions and Fan Engagement
Required Qualifications Associates degree plus one year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal three years.
Preferred Qualifications Prefer bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and one year of previous full-time professional design experience. Candidate must be efficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc). Must possess excellent writing, editing, typing, interpersonal and verbal communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and quick decision making and problem solving skills; Two years fulltime experience in a collegiate or professional sports organization. Knowledge of current and emerging social media trends. Knowledge of and passion for sports.
