Drake University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor position to teach JMC 103 Public Affairs Reporting. The course is an upper-level news reporting class for students interested in multimedia journalism. The course covers public affairs beat reporting, focused on government agencies and politics, with frequent practice and feedback. Exposure to advanced reporting and writing techniques, including public records and databases. Discussions of ethical, legal and other important current issues of the news media and society. Class meets twice weekly for 75 minutes, or weekly for one hour and 50 minutes.
