TheRole: S&P Global Platts is looking for an Associate Editor, Nonferrous Metals to cover nonferrous metals pricing in the Americas. Based Houston, the primary responsibilities of this position include assessing US and Mexico nonferrous metals markets, including aluminum, engaging with market participants who trade, consume, sell or are otherwise impacted by nonferrous metals markets and producing pricing content and analysis.
The Team: The successful candidate will be part of a global team, based in S&P Global's Houston office.
The Impact: The successful candidate will be part of a global team and possess knowledge of market intelligence-gathering and assessing commodities prices. This individual must be comfortable writing about pricing information and interpreting data. The finalist will be considered a subject matter expert in the industry; be able to master the challenges of covering metals markets on a frequent basis and be a team player. Furthermore, the successful candidate will understand the relationship between the physical and derivatives markets for metals.

Produce price assessments and report on Americas nonferrous metals markets
Write market analysis, generate graphics and publish data explaining market trends and price movements
Manage and build database of contacts
Identify opportunities to improve methodology or launch new assessments
Participate in conferences, webinars and produce digital content
What We're Looking For:
Familiarity with Platts approach to pricing commodities and covering commodities markets
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
Excellent spoken and written English skills, as well as spoken and written Spanish language skills
Analytical ability and comfortability with numbers
Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 9
The Location: Houston, TX
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $49,400 to $ 98,200. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
