Graphic Designer/Social Media Coordinator

| University of Connecticut Division of Athletics UConn Football is seeking to hire a motivated and imaginative candidate to join our team. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Football Operations, this position is responsible for marketing the UConn Football program through the creation of inspiring and innovative visuals that will be used to communicate with and recruit prospective student-athletes across all forms of social media. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: directing the design, creation, and output of all creative media for the UConn Football program; overseeing the communication plan for prospective student-athletes; serving as the graphic designer for the UConn Football team with a primary focus on creating visual graphics for recruiting prospective student-athletes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or appropriate field; one to two years of graphic design and photography experience; experience with Adobe Creative Suite–specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Design; proficient in graphic design and phot editing, with the ability to create in both digital and print, including web, social media, emails, invitations; experience utilizing various social media platforms; ability to take feedback and incorporate into revisions, edits, modifications, resizing and other adjustments to drafted or previously completed work; demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, organize and execute the communication plan for prospective student-athletes; strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to balance multiple projects; ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Two-three years of graphic design and photography experience; experience in motion and animation graphics; knowledge of NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics and FBS Recruiting Calendar; experience working in a collegiate or professional athletics setting; and experience managing student workers. Appointment Term This position is a 12-month appointment. Following administrative review, the position may be renewed for a second term.
