The Team: Our digital newsroom is dedicated to delivering readers actionable news on financial markets around the world. You will work closely with editors and reporters focused on the commercial real estate beat, while collaborating with in-house data journalists to enrich our features through best-in-class news and trend analyses.
The Impact: You will join a dynamic team in the newsroom to help foster our goal of covering new aspects of the sector in North America. We are looking for an upbeat and self-starting reporter passionate about the complexities of the industry to provide our discerning readership with the news and analysis they need to excel at their jobs.

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $38.4k - 79.7k. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Responsibilities: - Have a command of the REIT beat and build a strong source network in the sector.
- Cover breaking news of REIT M&A deals, personnel changes and other meaningful events.
- Carry out in-depth reporting and analysis to produce insightful features and data-driven analytical trend pieces.
- Write clean, clear copy to tight newswire deadlines.
- Collaborate with other reporters and editors on news coverage.
What We're Looking For: Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of business reporting experience.
- Command of journalistic standard methodology (AP style, libel issues, etc.).
- Ability to generate creative ideas, develop sources and produce concise, accurate and insightful analysis and breaking news to daily and weekly deadlines.
- Affinity for analyzing numbers to use our data, financial reports and other industry information in your reporting.
- You will need to provide samples of recent published work and pass a writing test.
